Our Services

EcoLOGIC Consulting provides policy facilitation, evaluation, process design, and implementation services to government agencies, planning firms, non-profits, and community organizations embarking on large-scale natural resource projects.

We support existing project leads and work with those leads to map out opportunities and issues, identify options to strategically move forward, and assist in motivating  partners towards a shared destination.  For initiatives that involve public policy, science, and diverse communities, the process can be especially unique. Facilitating Public Policy Partnerships
Technical Workshop to fulfill a Presidential Proclamation
Led the design and facilitation of a virtual technical workshop around science, monitoring, and co-management between USFWS and NOAA. The previously planned in-person workshop was converted to virtual workshop to accommodate COVID-19 stay-at-home orders across the Pacific. This interactive event included over 40 participants and featured innovative interactive tools that allowed participants to watch live graphic recording, make their own annotations, and create and move virtual post-its in real time. The discussion and input from technical experts provided needed recommendations to management agencies.

Implementing the National Ocean Policy
Designed and facilitated a three-year process to develop a planning document for the American Samoa Government, the White House National Ocean Council, and US Federal Government agencies. The process was conducted through a core planning team of federal and local planning agencies that sought stakeholder input and review early and often throughout. The plan for American Samoa was completed in 2018.

Strategic Planning for the NOAA Pacific Regional Executive Board
Worked at the executive level across all line offices of NOAA in the Pacific Region to analyze current organizational structure, planning documents, and governance agreements to then establish a foundation for the 2018 Strategic Plan. Drafted operating guidelines and supporting process documents to improve operational efficacy and efficiency. Within a year, results included higher partner participation rates, successful completion of monthly meeting agenda items, and further engagement of the larger group beyond the executive team. More info available at this link.
